Jika Anda seorang Apple fan boy tentu tahu siapa Jonathan Ive, ya, dia adalah lelaki kelahiran London yang merupakan otak di balik desain menawan PowerBook G4, G4 Cube, MacBook, unibody MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iPod, iPhone, dan iPad yang berbahan titanium dan almuniun. Jony adalah Senior Vice President of Industrial Design di Apple, Inc. Tentu saja tugasnya sangat penting, karena Apple selalu menyajikan produk dengan desain yang keren.
Baru-baru ini Jonathan Ive mendapatkan gelar KBE ( Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire ) dari Kerajaan Inggris. Apa itu KBE? KBE merupakan gelar kesatrian yang telah ada di Kerajaan Inggris sejak tahun 1917. Ada 5 tingkatan gelar kesatrian, dan si Jony ini berada di urutan 2. Wow!

Jujur, saya tau Jonathan Ive ini cuma gara-gara nonton film dokumenter Objectified. Tapi kalo liat di situ, kayaknya dia emang designer yang mikirnya jauh ke depan.
Mungkin dia salah satu designer yg mikirnya : design is about how it works. 😀
